Veterinary Student Scholarship Program 2016: distributing 10 grants of 5,000 US Dollars.
Merck Animal Health (MAH) and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) are pleased to announce the 2016 Veterinary Student Scholarship Program. The Scholarship is dedicated to veterinary students from the European Region*. Merck Animal Health and FVE are proud to demonstrate their dedication to veterinary students by providing $5,000 US Dollars scholarships to be awarded to ten (10) veterinary students from the European Region*.
Merck’s partnership with the FVE aligns with the FVE mission to assure and promote animal health and welfare and public health globally, through developing and advancing veterinary medicine and the veterinary profession.
Veterinary Student Scholarship Program 2016 criteria:
Objective
$5,000 US Dollars scholarships to be awarded to ten (10) veterinary students in their 2nd or 3rd study year from the European Region* to enhance their academic experience.
Eligibility
Applicants shall fulfill all the following requirements:
– 2nd and 3rd year veterinary students (accomplishment of first year exams);
– Currently enrolled and in good standing at a Veterinary Faculty member of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE)**;
– Citizen of one of the European countries*.
Deadline: 15 October 2016, 12:00 pm (Brussels time).

Review, evaluation and selection: It will be coordinated by the FVE Review Committee made by FVE, the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) and the EAEVE members. The Review Committee will score each application based on the specific scoring rubric, taking in consideration:
– Applications (duly filled in);
– Reference letter from your Professor;
– Diversity and financial need;
– Responses to the questions in the application form.
